About the Opportunity

Due to ongoing demand, Labtek currently has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Internal Sales Representative to join their close-knit team in Brisbane, QLD working at their Brendale facility.

Reporting to the National Sales Manager, you will be responsible for delivering a high level of fast and accurate customer service, through a variety of sales channels, including mostly warm outbound calls while ensuring excellent customer care.

More specifically, your day to day duties will include (but will not be limited to):

  • Managing allocated sales territories through a variety of sales channels, including warm and cold outbound/inbound phone calls, occasional sales callouts, product demonstrations and conferences;
  • Maintaining mutually beneficial and ongoing customer relationships;
  • Following up customer orders, tracking orders, setting up eCommerce accounts, submitting quotations (and follow up) and a range of additional customer administration duties; and
  • Identifying new sales opportunities within the territory and proposing strategies to boost customer engagement, where necessary, including through the distribution of marketing material and increasing of customer touch points.

Please Note: A current drivers licence and your own transport is required for this role as there may be some travelling involved.

About You

To be considered for this role you will have either a background in the science industry, preferably with relevant tertiary qualifications, or previous sales experience, ideally in regards to selling laboratory or similar products.

As an A-player in customer service and sales with demonstrated experience, you will thrive in a telephone sales based environment and be confident in your ability to build strong relationships with customers via a mixture of warm and cold calls, and adapt your communication style to suit a diverse range of people and organisations.

Key to maintaining strong customer relationships, you will demonstrate an excellent standard of reliability, following through on your word and delivering a range of timely administration duties that ensure client care.

A confident communicator and people person, you will demonstrate an initiative and motivation to makes sales and source a range of new customers. You will also be able to maximise opportunities with customers while on the phone, using empathy to accurately identify their needs and create mutually beneficial outcomes. 

Most importantly, Labtek is looking for someone who is comfortable adapting to change and learning new processes, who is able to hit the ground running within a fast-paced, team oriented sales environment.
